UNICORN Holidays is predicting a tough 1999 for upmarket operators because of the feared economic downturn.
Launching the operator’s France brochure, managing director Jim Southon said he would be happy if the company hit the same level of business as last year.
“Despite assurances from the Government it appears we are heading for some degree of downturn in the economy ,” he said.
“That will have an affect on our end of the market as well as mainstream products.”
Meanwhile, Unicorn has expanded its range of fly-drive short breaks in ’99 with scheduled flights to Bordeaux, Nice, Nantes and Toulouse.
It also has twin centre holidays combining France and Northern Spain.
Prices lead in at ú613 per person for a three-night break at Chateau de Noirieux.
