DISNEYLANDParisis attempting to bring summer 1999 bookings forward by offering an early-booking discount for the first time.
Customers who book at least 60 days in advance will receive 5% off selected packages taken between March 26 and October 31.
Head of commercial affairs for UK and Ireland, Peter Illtyd Welch, said: “What we found last year is that the booking pattern for short-break holidays had got later.
“People booking summer holidays in the spring found there was no on-site room availability by then, and we had a lot of disappointed customers.
“We are now trying to encourage early bookings so we can plan for the summer.”
Welch claimed the UK was now the largest purchaser of hotel room nights at the Disneyland Paris theme park, and the second largest source of visitors to the theme park after France itself.
During the year to September 30 1998 Disneyland Paris received 1.8m UK visitors, who booked 500,000 room nights.
Welch said a new ú10m ride at the theme park, Honey I Shrunk the Audience, was expected to boost UK volumes further following its launch in March 1999.
