WEST country carrier Brymon Airways is axeing its Paris services to release aircraft for three new routes.
The Newcastle and Southampton flights to Paris will end on March 13, to make the Dash 8 aircraft available for network expansion.
The first new route will be from Aberdeen to Oslo, starting on March 28. Flights operate daily except Saturdays.
This is followed on May 2 by the launch of a thrice-daily week-day Belfast International-Newcastle service. One flight also carries on to Copenhagen.
The start of Danish flights gives Belfast a new one-stop daily link to Scandinavia.
The British Airways wholly-owned subsidiary said it pulled out of Paris because competition on the routes from Air France has resulted in reduced opportunity for growth.
Brymon managing director Gareth Kirkwood said: “These routes are already served by other airlines, and offer less attractive commercial growth than the new routes we have announced.”
Belfast International managing director Paul Kehoe said the Danish flight will meet tourism growth to Northern Ireland.
