Aer Lingus has cancelled 76 more flights as work-to-rule industrial action by members of the Irish Airline Pilots Association (Ialpa) continues.
A statement from the carrier said: “In order to continue to protect as many services as possible from the continuing and highly disruptive impact of Ialpa’s continuing industrial action, Aer Lingus has had to take the step of cancelling 76 additional flights over the course of Monday 8th July to Wednesday 10th July (inclusive). Implementing these cancellations is to enable us to protect as many services as possible for as many of our customers as possible.”

Information has been sent to affected customers and travel agents, and details of services hit by the action are on the Travel Advisory page of aerlingus.com.
“Aer Lingus fully understands the anxiety being experienced by customers given the uncertainty caused by Ialpa’s industrial action and is giving impacted customers as many options as possible,” added the airline statement.
The Irish Times has reported that the Aer Lingus pilots will vote on Labour Court proposals to end their pay row with the airline.
The court would issue a recommendation to resolve the dispute “within a few days” following a hearing on Wednesday afternoon, said the report.
Aer Lingus has now cancelled 468 flights since Ialpa began a work-to-rule a week ago, including 120 services axed last Saturday because of an eight-hour strike by pilots.
