Jet2 raises Manchester frequency to Santorini

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have added more capacity from Manchester airport this summer with additional flights to Santorini.

New Sunday departures to the Greek island will run during the summer peak.

The extra flights between July 21 and September 1 are in addition to the existing schedule of three departures a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

The company believes the new service will be ideally timed for newlyweds who marry on Saturdays and are looking to head off on honeymoon the following day.

The announcement comes in response to strong demand for holidays to Greece this summer and follows the addition of five new routes from Liverpool as well as one each from Birmingham and Newcastle.

A total of 14 Greek destinations will be served from Manchester – Athens, Corfu, Crete (Chania), Crete (Heraklion), Kalamata, Kefalonia, Kos, Lesvos, Preveza, Rhodes, Santorini, Skiathos, Halkidiki and Zante.
