The start of school half term and the late May bank holiday will put Friday (May 26) on course to see highest number of UK flight departures since December 2019.
More than 3,000 take offs from airports across the country are expected on that day alone, according to analysis by flight data from Cirium.
Scheduled departures across the bank holiday weekend are also set to reach 86% of 2019 pre-pandemic levels.
A total of 11,356 flights are scheduled to depart UK airports, equating to more than two million seats, over the Friday to Monday period, with level up by 6% over the same period last year.
The top destinations are projected to be Dublin, Amsterdam, Palma, Malaga and Alicante with EasyJet running most flights over the weekend, followed by British Airways, Ryanair, Jet2 and Loganair.
Heathrow is projected to see the largest number of arrivals, followed by Gatwick, Stansted, Manchester and Edinburgh.
The half term week from May 27 will see 25,606 flights due from UK airports, accounting for more than 4.5 million seats.
