Watch: LA tourism chief hails UK and Irish trade

The Los Angeles Tourism Board has issued a video message to the travel trade in the UK & Ireland to thank it for its support ahead of the reopening of the US border in early November.

The video features the tourist board’s president Adam Burke addressing partners as he hails the city’s love of a good ‘Comeback Story’.

Outlining a range of new developments and attractions across Los Angeles, Burke also reiterates a commitment to the UK and Irish markets, which accounted for more than 400,000 visitors in 2019.

He said: “There’s a truly special bond between Brits, the Irish and Angelinos that will never be broken. On behalf of all of us here in the City of Angels, I’d like to personally thank the British and Irish travel industry for your incredible and continued commitment to our vibrant destination.”

He added: “You have supported us for many years and we are exceedingly grateful for all that you do. Though circumstances have certainly changed, we remain fully committed to your market.

“Los Angeles Tourism continues to be the only destination marketing organisation with permanent offices and full-time staff overseas, including our fantastic team members based in our European regional offices in London. We can’t wait for you and your clients to start your comeback.”
