Wizz Air UK is flying Welsh football fans on a special flight from Cardiff airport to Baku to back Wales at UEFA Euro 2020.
The flight was arranged with the help of Wales’ official fan travel partner Wonky Sheep Events with the itinerary co-ordinated so that Welsh fans can make the most of the trip, enjoying the football as well as Azerbaijan’s capital city.
The return is on June 17 after Wales plays the first two group games against Switzerland and Turkey.
The one-off service comes ahead of the budget carrier opening a new base at Cardiff airport this summer with routes to destinations such as Larnaca, Corfu, Heraklion, Faro, Alicante, Lanzarote, Palma, Tenerife and Jersey. Flights to Sharm el-Sheikh are planned to start in October.
