EasyJet holidays to bolster trade sales team

EasyJet holidays is looking to hire a business development manager and a distribution executive to join its trade team as part of a wider recruitment drive.

Currently, the tour operator’s trade team consists of head of distribution Brad Bennetts, distribution manager Adrian Marpole and a team of 24 support agents in a call centre in Sheffield.

The business development manager will be based in the south of the country and will be focused on “driving departures from Gatwick”.

EasyJet holidays said: “The [business development manager] role is key as you will develop, maintain and support strategic and technical relationships across all trade partners.”

The distribution executive will support the distribution department with communication and marketing as well helping trade partners.

It added that northern agency accounts were already managed by the current in-house team.

An easyJet holidays spokesperson said: “Because our trade sales have exceeded expectations since we launched, we’re really pleased to be growing our distribution team and recruiting for a distribution executive as well as a business development manager.

“With a larger team, we’ll be splitting into smaller regions to enable us to better support our trade partners.  The new business development role will support our agents in the south with a core focus on driving departures from Gatwick and the south.”

The firm is looking to recruit people “with energy and get up and go” attitude who are “up for a challenge”.

Other vacancies that the tour operator is looking to fill, include a business analyst, a project manager and a senior project manager.
