Hays Travel has appointed Cherie Richards to the newly created role of head of business development.
Richards joined the agency chain’s homeworking division in September 2022 with a remit to recruit Personal Travel Consultants (PTC).
In her new role, she has been tasked with “building recruitment across the group” and will report to chief operating officer Jonathon Woodall-Johnson.

Richards has 30 years’ experience in the travel industry and held senior positions at dnata Travel Group, Not Just Travel and Travel Solutions Network.
Woodall-Johnson said: “Since joining us just a year ago, Cherie has been a great asset to Hays Travel and her impact on our PTC division has been remarkable.
“Cherie has decades of experience in our sector and is highly thought of, particularly among agents.
“We are delighted to appoint her to this leadership role, where she will support strategic growth across our PTC, Independence Group and franchise areas, building on the excellent work that the division heads are already achieving.”
