Holidaysplease pledges to make 2023 ‘most green yet’

Holidaysplease has implemented a sustainability programme to support its pledge to make 2023 the “most green yet”.

The homeworking agency has been following the ‘First Mile’ scheme, an initiative that invites businesses to reduce their carbon footprint by implementing sustainable practices.

Alongside the programme, Holidaysplease said it is introducing several other environmentally friendly initiatives, including only using suppliers that promote responsible tourism, going paperless, encouraging head office staff to work from home instead of driving to work, and planting trees.

Cat Reeves, brand and business executive, said: “The industry has a responsibility to do what we can do to balance out our carbon footprint.

“Even the smallest things, such as using biodegradable packaging for our reward scheme gifts and shifting our focus on social media to promoting local suppliers and those most ethical and sustainable, all counts towards the bigger picture.”
