Inside Travel Group’s Japan specialist brand, InsideJapan, has released details of its biggest ever sales incentive, offering agents the chance to earn a free tour.
A free place on a group tour will be offered to 10 agents, in return for booking three passengers or more on to group tours.
Gabo Quiros, UK trade manager, said: “We know that our small group tours of Japan are the best on the market, and we want to show them off to our agent partners.
“We want our agents to experience these tours for themselves: the fact that they are very small, the invaluable insight from our Insider tour leaders and the all-round cultural experience that they offer.”
The campaign is running from January until July 31.
Agents who book three people on small group tours will be able to claim a spot on any ‘Essential’ rated tour.

These include the 13-night ‘Japan Unmasked’ itinerary from Tokyo to Kyoto via the Japanese Alps, or the nine-night ‘Tokaido Trail’ which goes from Tokyo to Kyoto, via Hakone national park and Lake Biwa.
Quiros added: “It doesn’t stop there. Agents selling four places or more can also gain themselves an upgrade to a ‘Classic’ rated tour such as the popular ‘Hidden Japan’ which costs from £4,610 per person.
“If they sell six places or more, they are able to choose a place on one of our Superior tours which includes our new ‘Majestic Japan’ tour costing from £7,300 per person.
“Although we are unable to offer flights with this incentive, the small group tours are incredible value.
“We know that the customers love them, and we want to give our agent partners the opportunity to realise for themselves how good they and InsideJapan are.”
The operator recently launched a digital brochure highlighting 11 different small group tours with 80% more tour places for sale in 2024 compared to the sell-out 2023. It has also released its small group tour dates for 2025.
Quiros added: “The trade is massively important to Inside Travel Group’s growth plans which intends to double business by 2026 and this is start of big plans to engage more and more with our agent partners.”
The first 10 agents to book three places or more will receive a free tour place but a spokesperson said the success of the campaign will be reviewed.
