Former Royal Caribbean and Carnival Cruise Line chief marketing officer Jim Berra has been hired by Princess Cruises.
Reporting into Princess Cruises president John Padgett, Berra will “lead all marketing facets including integrated marketing strategy formulation, creative development and brand promotion across all channels and geographies to further optimise Princess’ global marketplace position”, the line said.
Berra joins Princess Cruises after a two-year stint as chief marketing and innovation officer for private membership club owner Invited.

Prior to his role at Invited, Berra spent six years at Royal Caribbean overseeing the company’s advertising programmes, marketing communications, social media, e-commerce and customer marketing.
Before that, he spent seven years as chief marketing officer for Carnival Cruise Line where he was responsible for the company’s advertising, public relations, customer marketing and digital sectors.
“Princess has a rich history of creating unforgettable moments at sea and I am excited to steer the marketing efforts for the iconic ‘Love Boat’ brand to even greater heights,” said Berra.
“Together, we will continue to inspire travellers to embark on journeys filled with love, adventure and cherished memories.”
