Newmarket Holidays unveils Elvis and Dolly Parton-themed tour

Newmarket Holidays has launched a 2024 escorted tour exploring the locations that inspired music legends Elvis Presley and Dolly Parton.

Called The Ultimate Elvis Presley and Dolly Parton Experience, the holiday is described as a “nine-day pilgrimage” that visits places such as Tupelo in Mississippi, the birthplace of Elvis, and Sevier County, where a young Dolly nurtured her musical dreams.

The itinerary also includes Memphis, home to Elvis for much of his life, with optional tours to Sun Studios, where he and many country stars recorded, followed by a visit to his Graceland mansion.

Clients will also visit Nashville, with the Country Music Hall of Fame among the available tour options, then the foothills of the Smoky Mountains, where a life-size bronze statue of a guitar-playing Dolly Parton welcomes arrivals.

Fans can explore the singer’s birthplace and visit Dollywood (pictured), the 50-ride amusement park owned by the singer and celebrates the culture, crafts and music of the region.

Richard Harrington, long-haul destination manager at Newmarket, said: “Elvis has been one of our most popular tours for many years, so we are delighted to serve up a double dollop of American greats by creating a new adventure that adds even more depth to our strong North American range.”

Richard Forde, head of trade sales, added: “For anyone who loves rock ‘n’ roll and country, this is a bucket-list opportunity to experience the influences of two of the world’s most famous musical stars.

“This is going to be a fun-packed sell-out tour that agents can really get stuck into.”

The Ultimate Elvis Presley and Dolly Parton Experience is available from May to November 2024, with prices from £2,124, including a 5% discount for bookings made before May 2.
Hotels, breakfasts, travel and return flights to Atlanta are included.
