Riviera Travel is creating an agent engagement committee and has invited trade partners to submit applications to join.
The operator recently launched a survey asking agents to rate its performance in key areas and found that out of the 500 people who completed it, 77% felt confident in selling river cruise, which it identified as an area for improvement.
In response to the survey results, Riviera Travel plans to create an agent committee which will meet in person twice a year to share feedback, opinions and ideas on how the operator can better serve their needs.

Committee members will be asked for input on product development, marketing campaigns, training and education programmes, and incentive and engagement initiatives.
To apply, agents should email agencysales@rivieratravel.co.uk with a short paragraph explaining why they should be a member. Successful applicants will be announced next month.
Head of trade Tom Morgan said: “We recognise the vital role that travel agents play in Riviera’s success, and our dedicated trade team is always looking for ways to better serve their needs.
“Our survey was positive in a number of key areas and also showed us we have improvements we can make. This new committee will be critical in supporting and informing these ambitions.
“The group will represent all types of agents including high street, homeworkers, call centres and OTAs, and further demonstrates that Riviera is committed to building and strengthening its relationships with agents.”
