The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority is launching its first virtual global roadshows for agents “in readiness for the easing of travel restrictions” later this year.
The three events are designed for travel agents and reservation staff in Saint Lucia’s main source markets – the US, the UK and Canada – as more holidaymakers are planning overseas travel.
The global roadshows will differ from webinars as they aim to recreate a fam trip experience online.
Hosted live by the sales team in Saint Lucia, there will be market representatives available to answer questions and provide specific information.
Patricia Charlery-Leon, UK & Europe director of the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, said: “Travel agents are vital to the success of Saint Lucia as a thriving tourism destination.
“Whilst we have been unable to host fam trips due to Covid restrictions, we have enjoyed keeping in touch with our valued trade partners in other ways.
“These roadshows offer agents the opportunity to visit our hotels and sites from the comfort of their own homes giving them the confidence to inspire their clients to book Saint Lucia.”
Joining the tourist board will be 11 hotels and resorts, and one destination management company.
The events will take place from 4.30pm-6pm on March 23, 30 and April 6.
