Over-50s specialist Silver Travel Advisor recognised travel brands, operators and cruise lines at its 2023 awards ceremony which saw a “record” number of public votes.
The ceremony, held on October 19 at One Moorgate Place in London, acknowledged those companies that have “excelled” in providing holidays and services for mature travellers.
A total of 24 awards were presented, six of which were new for this year, including an expedition cruise line award and five ‘standout’ awards.

Nineteen of the recipients were chosen by the public from more than 150,000 votes – 10,000 more than last year, while the remaining five winners were chosen by a panel of industry professionals.
The winners were:

- Best Worldwide Tour Operator – Saga Holidays
- Best Worldwide Luxury Tour Operator – Sovereign Luxury Travel
- Best Adventure or Activity Company – Inghams
- Best Solo Travel Company – Solos Holidays
- Best UK Breaks Operator – Warner Leisure Hotels
- Best City or Cultural Break Provider – Riviera Travel
- Best Self-catering Travel Company – Holiday Cottages
- Best Rail Holiday Company – Rocky Mountain
- Best Accessible Travel Provider – Enable Holidays
- Best UK Destination – York
- Best European Destination – Italy
- Best Worldwide Destination – USA
- Silver Standout for Innovation – Viking
- Silver Standout for Marketing – Seabourn
- Silver Standout for Representation – Alfa Travel
