Travelopia cracks open Easter egg incentive

Travelopia is starting an online Easter egg hunt on Monday (March 29) to connect with agents ahead of the expected re-opening of non-essential shops on April 12.

The group, which features brands such as Citalia and Sovereign, will run the promotion on Facebook until April 12.

It also plans to re-launch the marketing campaign that it had put on ice in the New Year period.

Simon Garrido, head of trade partnerships said: “Throughout the past year, we have worked hard to support our travel agent partners with incentives, virtual events and training.

“In the run-up to retail travel agencies re-opening their doors again, we wanted to keep our trade agents engaged with some fun competitions.

“Our Pizza Day and Valentine’s Day competition went down really well with a huge response from agents on our agents’ Facebook group.

“We are now celebrating Easter with a destination-led ‘Easter egg hunt’ with chocolate goodies as the rewards.”

He added: “Despite the headwinds, we have seen an upturn in agent enquiries and a resulting increase in both new bookings and re-bookings over the last few weeks – these are from both traditional homeworkers and those that are home-based until their agencies re-open.

“As a result of this we are going to re-launch our plans that we had for the New Year period so watch this space.”

Agents entering the contest can guess where the Easter bunny is hiding his egg and put their answers in the comment section of the Facebook post.
