Industry veteran William Burton has been appointed to the board of the British Tourism Association.
Burton began his career at British Airways and has held senior positions at Tui, G Adventures, Kuoni and Page & May Travel Group.
In 2017, he founded online travel company Awesome Experiences.
Burton began his five-year term on September 18 alongside other new starter Beth Knight.
Winner of Female Ambassador of the Year at the 2022 Great British Businesswoman Awards, Knight has held roles at several charities as well as Amazon, EY and the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.
