Family-friendly Disney Cruise Line is seeking to attract “grown ups” to its new ship with a range of new facilities.
Disney Wish will feature the first outdoor spa in the fleet together with a barber shop and a range of new bars and lounges.
The vessel is due to sail on its maiden voyage on June 9, 2022, followed by a season of three- and four-night cruises to Nassau, Bahamas, and Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay, from Port Canaveral in Florida.
Walt Disney Imagineering portfolio creative executive Laura Cabo said: “With the Disney Wish, we wanted to design an experience that allows our grown-up guests to relax, recharge and reconnect in unique ways that only Disney Cruise Line can create.

“Not only did we infuse more storytelling and enchantment into the adult-exclusive venues, but we added more variety and made them more accessible than ever before.
“This ship has truly been designed with adults’ holiday needs in mind, and I know our guests are going to return home feeling refreshed after their Disney Wish holiday.”
Senses Spa will feature a dedicated outdoor relaxation space with whirlpool spas, yoga sessions and loungers.
The spa area will also provide the fleet’s first ice lounge, private treatment rooms and spa villas for couples.
Exercise and wellness facilities include a dedicated cycle studio and an aerobics room.
The first standalone venues for hairstyling and beauty services will feature – named Untangled Salon and Hook’s Barbery.
More opportunities for parents to enjoy “me time” throughout their cruise include the Keg & Compass pub offering live sports viewibg and craft beers, New Orleans-inspired entertainment venue The Bayou and Nightingale’s piano bar.
The new facilities are in addition to three previously announced premium dining venues and an infinity pool retreat for over-18s.
