Wendy Wu Tours has added more departures to Scotland including a Christmas tour while borders in Asia remain largely shut to UK travellers.
The group touring specialist has laid on new departures for a ‘Spirit of Scotland’ itinerary throughout spring, summer and autumn 2022.
A series of dedicated trade familiarisation initiatives and booking incentives are planned to support the tours in Scotland.
The operator’s first completed tour in more than 18 months sold out within one week of its launch date this summer, thanks to the concerted backing and support of the trade.
A nine-day Christmas trip has been introduced with a lead-in of £2,615 person departing on December 19 including a private tour of Edinburgh Castle and VIP tickets on Christmas Eve to The Nutcracker performed by the Scottish ballet.
The operator’s founder Wendy Wu said: “Scotland has proven to be a great success and we can’t thank our agent friends and loyal customers enough for standing by us supporting us.
“Some would say, being an Asia touring specialist, we took a gamble launching a Scottish programme, but no, we were confident it would work, as we took the time in the planning stages to consult with agents to find out how we could help them and their customers to get back touring again.
“Time and time again Scotland came out as the number one destination called for and so, taking this in our sights, we crafted the perfect Scottish getaways, all in the unique Wendy Wu style.”
She added: “Christmas in Scotland is again proving to be very popular, indeed since its launch, we’ve seen so many customers changing their Christmas plans to come away with us.”
