Tauck is expanding in Europe with a record six new river cruise itineraries confirmed for 2024.
The US operator will feature lunch at the peak of Germany’s highest mountain – the almost 10,000ft Zugspitze – at a private ranch in the Camargue region of France and an evening at a private Viennese palace.
An evening at Schlosshotel Kronberg (pictured), temporary home to General Dwight D Eisenhower for seven years after the second world war, is featured as part of a 10-day Danube, Main and Rhine sailing leading in at £4,790 per person.
Several trips include pre or post-cruise stays in cities featured by the company for the first time, including Montreux and Geneva in Switzerland and Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Germany.
Chief executive Dan Mahar said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be expanding our cruise offerings in such and unprecedented way with exciting new itineraries that will appeal to our loyal past guests and new travellers alike.
“These signature land experiences are included in our cruise prices. They feature exclusive Tauck-guided sightseeing and they boast stays at wonderful properties such as Fairmount Montreux Palace, the Riessersee Hotel in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the InterContinental Geneve in Geneva.”
The 2024 river cruises are detailed in a newly-published brochure being distributed to agents.
