Tourism New Zealand webinars to focus on sustainability

Two ‘Forest of Hope’ webinars for agents hosted by Tourism New Zealand are taking place this month.

UK agents will learn about the New Zealand concept of “guardianship of the land” and the connection between people and place in Aotearoa.

Agents will contribute to preserving New Zealand’s natural spaces by taking part in the webinars.

Tourism New Zealand will plant one native tree in the country for every ten participants.

All trees will be gifted to randomly drawn winners among the participating agents, who will receive a personalised certificate and information on where exactly in New Zealand their tree is being planted.

In the first session at midday on June 9, agents will learn why sustainability is intrinsically relevant to New Zealand. Renata West, from Pacific Storytelling, will join this session as a guest speaker.

Practical tips and tricks for selling conscious travel in New Zealand with a focus on sustainable itineraries and experiences will be provided in the second session at the same time on June 23.

The webinars are a continuation of the Forest of Hope campaign that ran in December last year.

Agents can register via TravelTrade.NewZealand.com or: https://newzealand.zoom.us/webinar/register/5016213322936/WN_cj4vYogNSg2xhmR1MlmzjQ?mc_cid=55a4fab9b8&mc_eid=UNIQID
