Crystal aims brochure at early bookers

CRYSTAL Holidays has launched its winter 2000/2001 ski programme.

The new brochure will be offering ski holidays at up to 20% lower than this year’s prices for early bookers.

Marketing manager Louise Newton said that the operator wants to be able to capitalise on early bookers.

Crystal particularly wants to focus on large groups who need to make sure they secure their first choice of ski accommodation.

The price discounts apply to customers who book before February 29.

Most discounts are available in Austria and Italy. For example, one week at the Schlosshos, St Anton in Austria, is £349 per person in January next year. This price is £80 cheaper than prices offered for January of this year.

Group discounts are also on offer. Currently customers can gain one free place for a group of seven, or six free places for a group of 30.

Meanwhile, Newton said that the winter 1999/2000 ski market is beginning to pick up after a slow start.

He said: “The current season has picked up dramatically as we thought it would.

“As soon as the millennium celebrations were finished, people were straight on the phone in order to book their ski holiday.

“The season is now looking very positive,” she said.
