Clews: looking to increase bookings through the trade
Hertz makes new leisure appointment
HERTZ has appointed its first dedicated leisure training manager for the UK and Ireland to help increase bookings through the trade.
Kim Clews took up the new role in February. She has been with Hertz since 1995, most recently as leisure agency sales manager for Hertz Europe.
The appointment signals a change in Hertz’s approach to training, which was previously the responsibility of key account managers in their areas.
Clews will now help them write and conduct training seminars for agents with special emphasis on car-rental selling techniques.
She will also be responsible for planning tailor-made activities for each major account as well as for the reservation staff of airline partners.
The new approach aims to increase agents’ knowledge and awareness of the Hertz product.
nClients booking a car from Hertz’s pre-paid leisure all-inclusive World on Wheels are no longer charged a fee for changing or cancelling a reservation.
