CTTG in move to centralise deals

THE CO-OPERATIVE Travel Trading Group has told
operators the level of support they give over the next six months will
determine whether or not they will be racked after September.

In a letter to suppliers, CTTG chief operating officer
Mike Greenacre said individual agreements between them and the five Co-op group
members will remain in place until September 30.

After that, CTTG will negotiate a central deal with
operators for all five Co-ops.

The letter has worried some operators who are
concerned a central deal will mean CTTG wanting more commission or having to
pay the top level it now pays to one Co-op to the whole group.

One operator, who asked to remain anonymous, said: “As
far as I am concerned, they have a good deal in place and they will not get any
more money out of us.”
