Visit London Awards 2006

VISIT London has announced the shortlist for its 2006 awards.

The annual awards cover a range of categories including accommodation, attractions, entertainment and cultural events. Support services such as customer service and marketing are also included.

Each category is judged by industry experts and nominees are required to demonstrate high standards in their arena and show commitment towards areas such as sustainability, accessibility, training and development, and investment in the local community.

James Bidwell, chief executive of Visit London said: “The Awards provide a platform to showcase the very best that the city has to offer, from unsung heroes to popular destinations.

“This year’s shortlist demonstrates just this breadth, and I congratulate all the businesses who have made it through to the finals. It’s their unwavering commitment to quality and innovation that ensures London remains the world’s top city break destination.”

The awards ceremony will take place on November 23 at the Roundhouse in Chalk Farm, London. For more information go to visitlondon.com/awards.
