n olt launches flights from manchester



Germanindependent carrier OLT has launched Manchester’s first flights to Bremen. The daily service is on a 33-seater Saab 340 aircraft. OLT took advantage of the airport’s millennium reduced charging policy which aims to help with the launch of new routes.



n delta air lines to sell concorde tickets



Delta Air Lines is to become the first US airline to sell tickets for Concorde. The airline will take seats on Air France’s supersonic jet next year following both carriers forming a global alliance. Seats will be on the New York JFK-Paris route.



n exeter airport sees 21% rise in passengers



Exeter Airport said increased charter traffic and growing support for scheduled service to Birmingham helped passenger numbers jump 21% in the six months to September 30. The 170,000 customers over the period means some 300,000 will use the airport this financial year.



n vLm airlines makes claim for jersey link



VLMAirlines has applied to launch scheduled service between Humberside and Jersey from May 1. The Jersey Transport Authority has also received a request from Jersey European Airways to operate a weekend-only summer 2000 service between Edinburgh and Jersey.



n ba and qantas flag fares down under



British Airways and Qantas are offering joint return prices from £640 to Perth and from £715 to other Australian cities under their new Outback fare deal. Tickets include a free stopover in Asia. The partners are also promoting a new World Discovery deal leading-in at £860 return for flights to Australia and New Zealand, with stopovers.
