EasyJet passenger numbers rose by 4% in February to reach more than 5.5 million.
The rise over the same month last year came with an improved load factor of 93%, a rise of one percentage point.
Last month’s performance gave the UK budget carrier a rolling annual total of 82.2 million passengers, a rise of 9.2%, with the load factor up by 1.6 percentage points to 93.2%.
The figures came a day after rival Ryanair reported a 5% rise in carryings to 8.6 million passengers in February and Wizz Air saw numbers up by 23.5% to 2.1 million.
Meanwhile, British Airways owner International Airlines Group’s passenger carryings rose by 8.5% to more than seven million in February with an overall load factor up by 1.7 percentage points to 79.7%.
