n Airtours md to speak at cto conference



Airtours Holidays managing director Chris Mottershead is to give the keynote address at the Caribbean Tourism Organisation’s annual conference inSeptember. His speechwill be titled Visioning the Future: Millennium Strategies for the Transformation of Caribbean Tourism. n costa cruises setto roll out new logo



Costa Cruises is to roll out a new logo betweenSeptember and the end of this year. The new design will be used on brochures, company literature, menus, baggage labels,merchandising andon-board accessories. The company refused to say how much the change of image would cost.



n SairGroup to take 49% stake in AOM



SAirGroup, the parent of Swissair, has been cleared by the EuropeanCommission to take a 49% stake in France’s second biggest carrier AOM. The majority stake is with a French financial investment group. AOM serves a range of long-haul destinations from Paris Orly. Its network will enhance the Qualiflyer group, which it founded with Swissair last year.



n easyjet gets first chief operating officer



EasyGroup, the umbrella company which includes EasyJet, has appointed its first chief operating officer for the airline as itcontinues to expand.Former chief executive of engineering firm FLS Stansted VilhelmHahn-Peterson has taken up the role. He worked with EasyJet to set up EasyTech, which maintains the airline’s Boeing 737 fleet. The group has also made finance director Nick Manoudakis finance and business development director.
