CARTAhas decided to stick with its current branding following a debate among delegates.
Chairman Chris Kirker said a proposal to change the name to the Association of Independent Travel Agents had failed to get a consensus from delegates. Many delegates felt that launching another brand name would be too confusing for consumers and the trade.
“It will mean that we can get on with promoting the CARTA name now,” he said.
“There is a war out there. We have got to be seen to be taking action.”
