The Tui Care Foundation has set up a fundraising appeal following the floods in Spain that have led to a death toll of at least 217 people.
The Valencia area was the worst affected by the torrential downpours last Tuesday (October 29), when a year’s worth of rain was recorded in an eight-hour period in some places.
The Tui Care Foundation will match every donation contributed to the appeal, which will direct funds towards long-term support for those affected by the deadliest flooding in Spain in decades.

Alexander Panczuk, executive director of the foundation, said: “The flash floods in Spain have had a devastating impact on local communities, resulting in tragic losses and damage.
“As we respond to this situation, our fundraising appeal aims to provide essential long-term support and assistance to those affected.
“By matching every donation, we can enhance our collective efforts to help affected communities recover and rebuild – ensuring they receive the necessary resources to overcome this difficult situation.”
The Tui Care Foundation was founded by Tui as a way of starting and supporting projects in destinations across the world based on the potential of tourism as a force for good.
