FORMER British Airways director of sales Peter White has been appointed as a consultant to the board of business travel group Hogg Robinson.
White will advise on the strategy of Hogg Robinson’s subsidiary BTIUK and the global Business Travel International network.
White said he will be advising on issues such as yield management, bulk purchasing, airline schedules and customers needs.
He said:”Changes in the external environment, technology and customer expectations mean that those travel management organisations that adapt and harness the opportunities that change offers will have an outstanding future.”
He warned that firms which fail to grasp the opportunities to be more efficient with improved technology will fail sooner than they think.
White retired from BA last year, to be replaced by Dale Moss. He was a member of the BAexecutive and chairman of Galileo UK, BAHolidays and BATravel Shops.
