Ethiopian Airlines is increasing frequency from Manchester airport to offer daily flights to Addis Ababa.
The expansion from July 3 will see the flights to the African hub operate with brief stopovers in either Geneva or Marseille.
The extra two weekly Airbus A350 services will provide improved connections to the Indian Ocean destinations of Zanzibar, Mombasa and Seychelles as well as Nairobi, Kilimanjaro, Dar es Salaam, Maun, Victoria Falls, Johannesburg, Lusaka and Cape Town.
Manchester airport chief commercial officer Stephen Turner said: “Naturally we’re delighted that Manchester will soon be able to boast daily flights to Africa’s largest hub airport.
“Addis Ababa offers an enviable network of connections to every corner of the continent, and now passengers flying from Manchester will be able to travel there with Ethiopian Airlines any day of the week, offering increased flexibility when making their travel plans, not to mention those wanting to reach some of Africa’s most popular tourist spots like Cape Town, Zanzibar and the Seychelles.”
Ethiopian Airlines’ traffic and sales manager at Manchester, Anteneh Fekadu, said: “We are thrilled to increase our flights from Manchester to daily frequency from July 3, 2025.
“This new schedule shows our commitment to providing our passengers with more travel and connectivity options.”
