Magic Travel Group adds to winter collection programme

Report by STEVEJONES

THOMSON-owned Magic Travel Group is featuring all seven Canary Islands and is introducing its most popular European cities to its newly published winter collection brochure.

The islands of Fuerteventura and El Hierro are new additions to the programme, while the best-selling hotels in Paris, Lisbon, Rome, Florence, Madrid, Barcelona and Venice appear for the first time.

Marketing director Richard Nealon said offering the full quota of inhabited Canary Islands will increase the range of two-centre options.

“Many customers take twin-centre holidays, staying for a week in one of the mountainous regions and a week by the pool in somewhere like Tenerife,” he said. “Fuerteventura and El Hierro adds to the choice and make us one of very few operators to feature all seven islands.”

The addition of the cities will enable customers to book early for the winter rather than wait for the release of its Magic Cities brochure.

“The inclusion of these cities strengthens the winter sun offering and enables clients to combine a city stay with a resort,” said Nealon. “In winter a large segment of the market has a clear idea of where they want to go. The winter collection gives them the opportunity to book early.”

The programme features 17 hotels across the seven cities.

Also included in the brochure are the operator’s best-selling paradores on mainland Spain and the Discovering Andalucia coach tour which takes in Seville, Cordoba, Jerez, Ronda and Granada.

Paradores lead in at £398 for three days in Cambados including flights and car hire.
