Credit card to boost loyalty

THOMAS Cook has launched a credit card in a move to increase customer loyalty.

Under a deal with credit-card lender MBNA, customers will earn vouchers each time they use the Thomas Cook-branded card which can be redeemed on any of the operator’s product. The amount of vouchers earned will be based on a sliding scale relating to card holders’ monthly spend.

Direct marketing manager Martin Chillcott said: “Brand loyalty is of paramount importance and this is another way of tying people to Thomas Cook.”

The card will run alongside Thomas Cook’s Privilege Services Scheme which offers benefits to its most loyal customers.

“This aims to benefit frequent and high-spend customers,” said Chillcott. “The card is available for everyone.”

The operator refused to reveal target figures for the card.
