Newmarket Holidays’ four business development managers have returned to face-to-face visits with travel agents across the UK.
The escorted touring operator said the move follows the government’s easing of working from home advice and an anticipated increase in bookings after the latest relaxation in travel testing requirements.
The BDMs are showcasing the operator’s portfolio and new brochures, offering agents training about its 18 new tours and tips about selling trends.
Richard Forde, head of trade sales, said: “For the team it has been a stop-start return after furlough, but we are confident they will now be back on the road permanently for 2022.
“Last week we stated how important our travel agents are – now more than ever – so I’m delighted they are back on the road, as we’ve all missed their energy and enthusiasm!”
The four BDMs are: Sas Rowbotham (Midlands, Wales and the southwest), Gemma Walker (north of England and Isle of Man), Amy Burt (Scotland and Northern Ireland) and Stuart Cowell (East Anglia, southeast and southern England)
Forde added: “We felt it was the right thing to do in keeping everyone working from home in January, but now this is a timely return, with the new brochure, new agent exclusive offer and the official easing of restrictions too.
“After a successful first consumer show of the year on Saturday with Fred Olsen, we are ready to go and can’t wait to see everyone again.”
Newmarket Holidays is offering agents a saving of up to 10% across its portfolio with its current Reconnect. Reimagine. Rediscover campaign.
