Ocean Florida extends Orlando holiday trade competition

Ocean Florida has extended its competition for agents to win a 12-night holiday for four to Orlando into February.

It was originally scheduled to end on January 31 but will now close on February 28.

The prize holiday will depart in 2023 or 2024 and include flights, villa, car hire and Ocean Explorer experience tickets.

Every booking made to the US will provide one entry, and if the booking includes a villa, the agent will receive two entries.

Ocean Florida has also added dates in February for its weekly online sessions for agents who are considering signing up to sell holidays from the operator.

The Florida specialist said the sessions have proven “extremely popular” among agents seeking an alternative provider for Florida, US cities and multi-centre itineraries.

Ann-Maria Agar, head of trade sales, said the operator has seen “unprecedented demand” since it launched trade sales last autumn.

“Feedback from our agent partners indicated that it may be taking customers longer than usual to convert from enquiry to booking, which is why we have chosen to extend the competition for our trade partners,” she added.

More than 300 agents have signed to sell holidays from the operator, which offer deals via its Facebook group Ocean4Agents and weekly emails.

Sister brands are Winged Boots, which specialises luxury travel, and Ocean Beds which offers Florida holiday home rentals to the global travel trade.

The Ocean Holidays Group carried 31,000 passengers in 2019 and forecasts more than 45,000 in 2022.

Earlier this week, the Essex-based group unveiled diversity and inclusion, sustainability and community programmes as it pledges to work towards balancing ‘people, planet and profit’.
