Sandals Resorts promotes account manager to BDM role

Sandals and Beaches Resorts has promoted account manager David Castle to the role of business development manager at Sandals and Beaches Resorts.

The company has also allocated new areas to three of its other business development managers as colleague Kirsty Clarke goes on maternity leave.

Sandals said the appointments come as demand for travel resumes and most of Sandals and Beaches’ 19 resorts are in green and amber list destinations across the Caribbean.

Castle has worked as an account manager in the Sandal’s business development team for almost four years.

In his new BDM role, he will be responsible for expanding trade business across Yorkshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.

Castle commented: “I am excited to be working with lots of fantastic travel agents across a range of areas and developing sales within these regions for our brands.”

Three other BDMs – Tamzin Bishop, Faye Read and Lorraine Adams – are taking on new areas as Clarke is on maternity leave.

Bishop will cover Cheshire, Lancashire, the Isle of Man, Merseyside, Manchester, North Wales, Staffordshire, and Derbyshire; Read will cover Sussex, Middlesex, Surrey, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, the Channel Islands, Dorset, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, and Oxfordshire; and Adams will cover Essex, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, London and Kent.

Leah Marshall, director of sales for Unique Vacations UK, an affiliate of the exclusive worldwide sales and marketing representative for Sandals and Beaches Resorts, added: “[David] is an asset to our UK sales team and his wealth of trade experience makes him a natural fit for this position.

“We are also pleased to announce that three of our existing business development managers will also serve new regions moving forward, developing sales and offering our trade accounts valuable support within these areas.”
