Inntravel recruits three senior execs as it targets growth

Self-guided tours specialist Inntravel has made three senior appointments as it completes its leadership team and targets expansion.

The Hotelplan UK brand has taken on new heads of commercial and marketing, and a sales manager.

Simon Eaton (pictured left) takes on the newly created role of head of commercial, bringing with him 17 years of experience at Tui.

He has held commercial, digital and operational roles and was most recently head of strategic trading for Tui UK and Ireland.

Sarah Fussey (centre) joins the Yorkshire-based firm as head of marketing with 20 years of experience in senior marketing and e-commerce roles in the travel and leisure sector.

For three years she was head of marketing and e-commerce at another Yorkshire-based tour operator, Great Rail Journeys, and previously was marketing and e-commerce director at Best Western Hotels.

Mark Mccormick (right) is the new sales manager, and has more than 20 years of experience in a variety of financial sectors, such as private equity, financial planning, equity release and banking.

Emma Gray, who joined Inntravel as managing director in May last year, said: “This is an exciting time to be joining Inntravel, a business benefiting from long-term investment.

“The potential within Inntravel’s product and customer base is immense and the demand we’ve seen at Inntravel post-pandemic has been incredible.

“Our three new senior colleagues will be going all out to capitalise on expansion and the trading opportunities ahead.

“These new appointments represent the last jigsaw pieces in getting the leadership team up to full strength at Inntravel.”

Based near Castle Howard, Inntravel has 70 employees and offers ‘at your own pace’ self-guided activity holidays across Europe.
