InteleTravel adds eight supplier partners for 2022

InteleTravel has added eight new supplier partners to date for 2022, increasing the number with preferred status to 75 as bookings continue to surge.

Among new suppliers are JTA Holidays, with the homeworking agency producing £1.5 million worth of sales for the operator since their partnership began in mid-June.

JTA Holidays managing director Wayne Darrock said: “We are delighted to work with InteleTravel and look forward to a long and fruitful partnership.”

InteleTravel saw sales rise from 13% in the year to July, compared to the same period last year, which it says “defies claims that the cost-of-living crisis, airport chaos and inflation will deter people from taking holidays”.

Individual sales transactions were up 42% in that period, with the top 10 individual agent transactions totalling £293,738, an average of more than £29,000 per sale.

Much of the growth has been fuelled by group bookings, an area InteleTravel has focussed on by helping agents to convert group sales and increase their commissions.

There has also been a growth in the number of ambassadors, who offer their skills to help mentor and coach new agents. Ambassadors have achieved continuous healthy commissions, undertaken dedicated training and passed an exam, the agency reported.

InteleTravel UK director Tricia Handley-Hughes said: “There has been a real trend in group bookings, and why would you make a booking for one or two customers when you can book 20 with the same effort?

“This is about channelling your efforts to maximise rewards. Our dedicated Ambassadors are a real asset to InteleTravel, they think outside the box and go out of their way to support fellow colleagues.”

InteleTravel recently announced it had grown its number of UK agents by 9% to more than 11,500 since January.
