A winter warmth support initiative for past and present employees of Abta members has been initiated by the association’s in-house charity.
Abta LifeLine will provide fuel and food vouchers, warm clothing and energy efficient appliances.
“Higher energy and food costs can force people who are financially struggling to make the terrible choice between warmth or food,” the charity said.

Abta Lifeline director Trudie Clements said: “Abta LifeLine remains strongly committed to help individuals and families within the travel industry, addressing their most critical needs, and fostering a supportive community.
“For those who are facing the awful choice between ‘heating or eating’ that no one should have to make, we’re here to provide vital support.
“I invite all eligible individuals to apply for the winter warmth support to receive the help they need during these challenging times.”
Key features of the winter warmth support are:
- Fuel vouchers: to help individuals keep their homes warm during the winter months.
- Food vouchers: to ensure that nutritious meals are within reach for those facing financial hardship.
- Warm clothing: to ensure those struggling have warm and winter proof clothing in the colder months.
- Energy efficient appliances: to help keep household energy costs low.
