Not Just Travel is extending a cruise training initiative to all 720 agents to help them tap into the lucrative sector.
The Cruise Division training programme was introduced in September 2022 as an optional, subscription-based initiative.
The company has now made the scheme accessible to its entire network after claiming that cruise sales tripled for participating members.
An optional Cruise Experts Club has also been created, providing members with a personalised cruise website, access to specialist coaching sessions, and advanced training in luxury, ultra-luxury and river cruising.
Participants also benefit from Clia membership, ship visits and fam trips.
NJT’s cruise division, led by head of commercial Clare Cruise and senior cruise business development manager Duncan Croucher, with the support of senior trade partnerships manager, Neal Hussey and cruise business development manager Kerrie Hardwick, has spearheaded the initiative with specialist training and experiential opportunities.
Cruise said: “Over the past two years, we’ve seen extraordinary results in the cruise sector. Notably, we now have over 80% more consultants actively selling cruises.
“With this expansion, we aim to bring that figure to 100% by equipping our team with the knowledge and confidence they need.
“The next phase is to elevate our consultants’ expertise in higher-end luxury and river cruising.”
