First Class Holidays launches WhatsApp for agents

Manchester-based tour operator First Class Holidays has integrated the WhatsApp messaging service into its phone systems to give agents a speedy way to contact its team of travel experts.

Daniel Gathercole, managing director, said: “We listened to agents, and we understand how busy they can be and how quickly they may need an answer, especially if they have a client in-store.

“For this reason, we have launched WhatsApp as a method of communication, ensuring they can get an answer quickly, and efficiently from our travel experts.

“WhatsApp is seamlessly integrated within our phone system so a travel agent will now be able to send a message from their phone, which will notify our entire team.

“A travel expert will then be able to pick it up and reply instantly. This reinforces how one of our key USPs – speed of service – is important to us, and we are confident that this will give us a competitive advantage, especially for peaks.”

Jet2holidays recently said its WhatsApp group for travel agents is helping to drive engagement and sales.
